There is a claim being made that ESD17 is not a double tax and that the “fire” department (ESD2) is paying for Ambulance. These people seem to forget that in May of 2014, we passed a sales tax for ESD2 to provide ALS. The extra sales tax was sold to be used to provide advanced life support services to the city of Pflugerville and its ETJ.
